My View
Painting begins and ends with seeing — inward and outward. In the tension between the two, my images take shape. A secret view carries me forward and tells me whether I am on my path.
Questions arise: When is everything in its place, the lines drawn, the surface filled? What pulse does the painting seek? And which tones and shades are drawn to one another? There is a rhythm, like a distant recognition. The gaze becomes one with the music of painting.
